What This Workflow Does
What it automates: Monitors your podcast RSS feed, detects new episodes, converts them into audiogram videos with animated waveform visuals, and publishes to your social accounts automatically.
Who it's for: Podcasters who want a consistent social media presence from every episode without spending time on design or video editing.
When to use it: Every time you publish a new podcast episode, regardless of the hosting platform.
How It Works
Step 1: RSS Feed — Monitors Your Podcast Automatically
Connect your podcast's RSS feed URL. Overlap monitors the feed and triggers a workflow run for every new episode. Works with any podcast hosting platform — Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Anchor, Buzzsprout, Transistor, WordPress, and custom RSS feeds in RSS 2.0, Atom, or standard podcast feed formats.
Step 2: Add Audiogram — Converts Audio to a Shareable Video
The Add Audiogram node transforms your podcast audio into a visual video with an animated waveform. Configure:
Orientation: Horizontal (16:9) for YouTube and LinkedIn, or vertical (9:16) for TikTok and Instagram
Waveform color: Match your brand's color palette
Waveform position: Top, center, or bottom of the frame
Background: Solid color or image background — use your podcast cover art or a branded background
Step 3: Post to Social — Published to Your Channels
Finished audiograms are posted to your connected social accounts automatically.
Who's Is This For?
Independent podcasters: Every episode generates a social post without any extra work. Your podcast feed drives your social presence automatically.
Podcast networks: Connect multiple shows to separate workflows and let every show's episodes auto-publish audiogram content consistently.
Marketing teams running branded podcasts: Maintain a consistent social publishing schedule from podcast content without adding manual video production to the team's workload.
FAQ's
What podcast hosting platforms does this work with?
Any platform that generates a standard RSS feed — including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Anchor, Buzzsprout, Transistor, Megaphone, Libsyn, Podbean, WordPress, and custom RSS hosts.
Does this work if my podcast has both audio and video episodes?
The RSS Feed trigger works with audio content. For video podcast workflows, use the YouTube or Dropbox triggers instead.
Can I use my podcast cover art as the audiogram background?
Yes. Set the Background Type to "Image" in the Add Audiogram node and upload your podcast artwork or any custom background image.
How many audiograms does it create per episode?
One audiogram per episode by default. Add the Find Clips node between RSS Feed and Add Audiogram to create multiple short-form audiogram clips from the episode's best moments.
Can I see the audiogram before it's published?
Yes. Replace the Post to Social node with the Email node to receive each audiogram for review before anything goes live.
Does this work for daily or high-frequency podcasts?
Yes. The RSS Feed node monitors continuously and triggers for every new item it detects — daily, twice-weekly, or any cadence.
