In just weeks, Overlap turned a silent account into a 68M-impression powerhouse—powered by intelligent workflows and a strategy that works while you sleep.

The Introduction:

Power 105.1 is one of New York City’s most influential radio stations, home to cultural cornerstones like The Breakfast Club with Charlamagne tha God and DJ Envy, The Cruz Show, and several other high-impact programs. Collectively, these shows produce hours of daily content and reach millions of listeners, shaping conversations far beyond radio.

While each show maintained its own active social presence, iHeartRadio had also created a station-level YouTube channel intended to serve as a central hub for Power 105.1’s content. That channel, however, had gone completely dormant.

The Problem:

Despite producing dozens of hours of compelling content every week, Power 105.1’s station YouTube channel sat unused for months. No clips, no uploads, no visibility. In a landscape where most audiences now discover audio and radio content through social and video platforms, this left the station invisible at the brand level. The issue wasn’t content quality or volume, it was bandwidth. The production team was already fully focused on live radio, and manually finding moments, editing clips, writing captions, and managing uploads across platforms simply wasn’t sustainable.

The Strategy:

On June 15th, 2025, Power 105.1 implemented Overlap to reactivate the station channel using automation instead of additional headcount. Rather than forcing producers to manually comb through hours of footage, Overlap’s AI analyzed every episode across shows, identified high-engagement moments using audio and emotional signals, generated platform-optimized clips, and published them automatically.

With just two automated workflows, Power 105.1 managed content across their entire lineup. One workflow handled vertical short-form distribution for TikTok and Facebook, while the second focused on horizontal clips optimized for Twitter. Setup took under two hours, and from that point on, every episode was transformed into dozens of social-ready clips without any manual editing, exporting, or posting.

The Results:

Between June and December 2025, Power 105.1 went from a dormant station channel to 91 million impressions and 6.7 million engagements, generating the equivalent of $588,784 in advertising value organically. Over six months, Overlap processed more than 600 episodes and generated over 10,000 clips, all without adding staff or spending time on manual production. At standard industry rates, producing that volume manually would have cost more than $500,000 in editing labor alone.

More importantly, the station reclaimed focus. Producers stayed focused on creating exceptional radio while automation handled distribution around the clock. Power 105.1 proved that even the busiest broadcast teams can dominate social platforms when AI removes the operational bottleneck, turning dormant channels into scalable growth engines with minimal effort.
